Rules
The competition will run from Sat October 8 until Sat November 12
It will run on the following days
- Saturday October 8 - Caulfield Guineas Day
- Saturday October 15 - Caulfield Cup Day
- Saturday October 22 - Cox Plate Day
- Saturday October 29 - Derby Day
- Tuesday November 1 - Melbourne Cup Day
- Thursday November 3 - Oaks Day
- Saturday November 5 - Emirates Stakes Day
- Saturday November 12 - Sandown Classic Day
Race fields will be entered at least one day before the race meeting begins ( we will be tweeting when fields for a race meeting are out so follow us on twitter at barrier_one now)
Each tipster gets to tip one horse per race
There will be a lockout time for all races 30 minutes before the first race is run at each race meeting
Scoring
Each tip has $1 a win and $1 a place
Points are awarded if your selection runs 1st,2nd or 3rd
The points awarded are the VIC Tab dividends
Example : In race 1 Tipster Bob tips horse 4 Jack’s Son…..it runs 2nd and pays $3 for a place…

Tipster Bob scores 3 points
- If your tip is scratched (non-runner) you will get the horse that starts the official substitute
- After all races are run, dividends for the day will be entered and the scoring will update
- You can join at anytime so if you miss the first day, or simply want to run a competition on cup week only then you will be able to do so
