Even if you can’t reach ‘Indyman’ there are sure to be some thrilling finishes in most competitions. The par level prior to Sandown Classic Day is 130.00pts.
Sandown Classic Day BarrierOne tip: Be bold and take home the win in your competition, see you in January when BarrierOne will return.
Good Luck punters.
BarrierOne Strategy - Stakes Day - 11/4/2011
With Melbourne Cup week drawing to a close, Emirates Stakes
Day has plenty to offer BarrierOne players; this is the day to make your move.
The last race on Oaks Day delivered a long shot that has changed many individual
competition leader boards.
‘Indyman’ made the move to the top of the BarrierOne global leader board by setting a new single day record of 101.60pts on Melbourne Cup day, with only 2 race meetings remaining for this season it will be hard to chase the current lead total of 246.48pts down. The par level prior to Stakes Day is 112.00pts.
Stakes Day BarrierOne tip: Unless you are ‘Indyman’, the time has come for selecting horses at big odds. This is not the time to be conservative.
Good Luck puntersBarrierOne Strategy - Melbourne Cup Day - 10/30/2011
The iconic day on the Australian horse racing calendar has
arrived – The Melbourne Cup. BarrierOne players will need to rise early on the
first Tuesday of November with an early lockout time of 0950AEST. With our
first ever global competition just over the half way point, all players will be
scrambling to win their own competition to gain bragging rights.
BarrierOne Global leader ‘Polish Warrior is BACK’ continued
good form on Derby Day with another solid return of 39.62pts to lead the way
with 140.20pts. ‘Indyman’ got the best of Derby Day with 64.70pts. The par
level prior to Melbourne Cup Day is 74.00pts.
Cup week at BarrierOne has still plenty to off with another 3 race meetings this week; the Melbourne cup itself can provide a healthy return with so many quality horses. There should be plenty of movement at the top of the BarrierOne leader board at days end.
Melbourne Cup Day BarrierOne tip: With a 10 race program and so many chances, this is the day for outsiders to shine, pick wisely.
Good Luck punters.
BarrierOne Strategy - Derby Day - 10/27/2011
Flemington has arrived at BarrierOne, 4 race meetings in 8 days for Melbourne Cup week and plenty of points on offer will keep all players on high alert as they try and catch our leader who is on 100.58pts. This week is make or break, the leader board will look nothing like it does right now especially with a few more upsets each racing day.
With a smashing 94.88pts last week on Cox Plate Day, our leader ‘Polish Warrior is BACK’ set a new 1 race meeting record and is our global leader heading in to Melbourne Cup week at 100.58pts. A big shout out also goes to ‘turntables41’ who collect an awesome 72.60pts. The par level for the global competition prior to Derby Day is 56.00pts.
With so many races ahead of all BarrierOne players this week, the goal should be to break par level for each of the race days in Melbourne Cup week and hopefully with an added bonus of a couple of winners at big odds.
Derby Day BarrierOne tip: Now it time to change your strategy if you are 70pts or more behind our leader, yes there will need to be some upsets to assist so grab your black book and choose wisely.
Good Luck punters.BarrierOne Strategy - Cox Plate Day - 10/20/2011
We have reached Cox Plate Day already; this is one of the finest days on the Australian horseracing calendar. BarrierOne players are firmly entrenched in their form guides late in the week looking for that one grand day to propel them to the top of the leader board.
The par level leading in to Cox Plate day is 38.00 points with the BarrierOne scoring system, with just under 20% of players over the par level you can understand challenging it can be to keep your head above water. The BarrierOne Global Leader is currently on 59.40 points.
Moonee
Valley will host Cox Plate Day, the fields are strong but this could be the day
of upsets excluding Black Caviar of course. The last four races should provide
1 or 2 winners at big odds so dig deep in to your black book and watch your
points increase at days end.
Cox Plate Day BarrierOne tip: If you are going to Moonee Valley, stay dry. Take Black Caviar for an easy 2 and a bit points. Also, try and finish your day off with a roughie in the last.
Good Luck puntersBarrierOne Strategy - Caulfield Cup Day - 10/13/2011
BarrierOne players have quickly realised that taking favourites each race will not turn in to a successful campaign. A combination of smart favourite selections along with a few roughies could be the way to go, having said that a long shot at huge odds could blow us all out of the water.
But take heart all, the beauty of BarrierOne is that a huge deficit going in to our last day of this season can be overcome with the right mix winners at good odds. Even worse could be holding on to a slim lead, at this point does the leader of your competition take all the favs or potentially stay with their same game plan.
One thing is for certain, taking the favs each race will not win your competition, it is time to think outside the box at BarrierOne.
The 10 Race program on Caulfield Cup day should deliver some upsets, the weather forecast is fantastic so lets hope all players generate some well earned points.
Caulfield Cup Day BarrierOne tip: Time to change your strategy if you are less than 10 points, favourites are not all they are made out to be at BarrierOne.Good Luck punters.
BarrierOne Strategy - Caulfield Guineas Day - 10/6/2011
Most punters have a system for picking winners with form guides, expert tipsters or even utilising their own black book. At BarrierOne, players will need to take the next step and strategise somewhat when making selections.
Picking favourites every race may not result in winning the overall competition as there are guaranteed to be some big winners at odds in our first season, not even selecting Black Caviar will guarantee a big result but with a return of around 2.07 points can you actually turn it down? In the overall competition 2.07 points will mean very little, but it is probably better than turning in a doughnut for the first day of racing at BarrierOne.
Most players will likely take a cautious approach for Caulfield Guineas Day, be warned with this approach as you will likely be behind the leaders if there are any huge upsets in the 9 race program.
Caulfield Guineas BarrierOne tip: Be very bold with your
selections early on, if you hit a winner at good odds you may be just the one
to beat.
Good Luck punters.
